Want
What people want varies greatly. Small capitalism is ideal for want as anything from marbles, toys, books, furniture, clothes, kitchenware, household goods, hardware, art products and a thousand things people might want and may or may not need. Probably most people, but a few radicals, would agree that people love small capitalism. But when companies become cannibalistic and begin buying up the competition, and then go on to buying politicians and the government as corporations do, most people would prefer there would be no Capitalist Corporations. All the major media today in America is owned by just six corporations and for today's mass media truth does not exist. True democracy would demand that financial corporations for profit be illegal. The separation of Corporation and state.
Capitalism
Everyone loves an ice-cream soda shop. And small Capitalism works quite well. However, where the Capitalists take over and control government, then there will be found corruption, crime, cannibalism, criminality and crookedness, if not outright murder and mayhem. Most everyone wants to own a home and have private property. And of course all kinds of junk and electronics, and furnishings of every sort, all best left to the Capitalists.
Capitalism would seem to be the best method of achieving mass-production of every kind of do-dad and widget imaginable. However, Capitalists are not the brightest bulbs on the marquee. They are governed by the One as self-centered, self-serving, private profit and property propensity, and will not consider the big picture. They will fish out the harbor unless some higher authority prevents it. They will produce once-use plastics until one could walk across the oceans upon plastic litter. They will produce, sell and over-use antibiotics until every bacteria is immune, or is this the corporate Capitalists ? What is needed is consideration of All, as Socialism which considers from the perspective of the Whole and big-picture, and how it would be affected by the behavior of the Parts.
