Capitalism
Capitalism derives from
Excess and Profit, defined as increase, or profit in the form of
Volitional Abilities, in excess of the energy, effort, time or risk, necessary to sustain and maintain the qualities & conditions of a standard of living, in a same or similar condition.
Excess and Profit
The introduction or adoption of Excess and Profit, is the divergence from the authority of the Given Existence. Excess and Profit is the results and products of human energy, effort, time or risk, as the creation of more than is necessary, to maintain a same or similar economic condition and standard. Excess means the production of human products, for storage, trade or comfort and status. The definition of profit is defined here to mean the creation and possession of excess production, which is converted by exchange into what is in essence, the increase of volitional abilities over and above the energy necessary, to maintain a standard of living in a same or similar condition. Volitional abilities means, the possession of material commodities, like furnace instead of fireplace, car instead of horse. Volitional abilities derive from material invention, which gives to individuals greater choices, like a tractor as opposed to a mule and is the choice of greater production.
Profit means what is gained as volitional abilities from the effort expended, over and above what is necessary to maintain a same or similar economic condition. If one works every day to maintain hearth and home in a same condition, profit is adding to it, like a washing machine, or the replacement of a hand lawn mower with one motorized, both of which give the volitional option of less labor. Everything from household furnishings to planes and trains produce greater volitional abilities either by the possession of or as means.
Excess and Profit by its definition is Progressive, as the addition and increase of material assets which in turn add volitional capacity. The volitional abilities which are gained from Excess and Profit, as has been shown over the last century, are numerous, as everything from the modern home to the modern city.
