Politics
Politics begins with Government which is Socialist, as a group of any number of individuals, forming an organization for the mutual benefit of the Whole, as All for community service. The question is - who controls the Government? Is the Government controlled by and for the benefit of the All, which would involve mechanisms of democratic selection processes, or is it for the benefit and controlled by and for the One and few, as the perfect Part conforming to the Metaphysical Ideal, which supplants the Whole, as the
Monoisms, of Monarchy, Oligarchy, Monotheism and Fascism, wherein by virtue of their said superior advantage, they should control
the inferior commons.
Democracy
Democracy is forms of Government, wherein every individual, in theory, has a vote which is registered in the manner of Direct or Representative Democracy. Democracy is usually based upon Intellectual Authorizations as some form of constitution which guarantees the democratic form, and proscribes the manner and system of Government, the form of representation, the construct of the legislative bodies and procedures, the separation of branches etc., but does not require any particular form of economical means for the population at large, such as does systems of governance based upon Economic Authorizations like Feudalism or Communism. Democracies generally take the form of Democratic Socialism and Capitalism. These are mixed socialist/capitalist economies, wherein the primary difference between them is that, in Democratic Socialism, the government controls a larger portion of the economic sector than in Democratic Capitalism.
Democratic Socialism means a democratic form of government, usually a multi-party form of representation, in which certain basic areas of the economy are regulated, owned and operated by the government. These may be services and commodities which are equally needed by everyone, but where everyone does not have an equal economic capacity to afford them. This may include such things as health care, education, day care, gas and electricity, water, sewage, waste disposal or media.
Democratic Capitalism is Democracy, in which the economy is primarily Capitalist, and where government in theory should be limited to essentials such as Infrastructure, and everything else should be left to the privately owned competitive marketplace. Capitalist Democracy always degenerates to Corporate and oligarchic control, by the concentration of property and wealth.
