Yes — but what he does do is reduces his own and his rich buddies taxes, so they can buy their way into heaven, and then wants you to be compassionate and make up the difference — for free. Bet that is what a compassionate conservative is.
12/24/04 Elections in Iraq ...
what a joke. Why not just hold them in the Green Zone and be done with it — an almost perfectly safe and secure election. After all, elections aren't perfect, so says Rumsfeld. We know who is going to win anyway,
a completely pro-America puppet government. Gee — big surprise — Karzai wins in Afghanistan. Gee — big surprise — Alawi wins in Iraq. Gee — big surprise — Bush wins in America. Reality means nothing to these people, and Bush will go on bragging for years how he has brought democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq, (and probably will believe it) which is their now sole overt justification for being there. Covertly — just another evil empire resource war, that must be hush, hush, and never mentioned officially — the reality of nothingness.
12/20/04 If great sitcoms are dead on American TV, they have been replaced by American political reality satire. This guy Bernard Keric is a poster boy for the Republican Party and especially the Bush Administration. They chose him 'cause he is their kind of guy. And the Medal of Freedom to Paul Bremer, the guy who sold Iraq to the international corporations, George Tenet, the guy who faked Iraqi WMD's, and Tommy Franks who planed and carried out war crimes and an illegal invasion of a sovereign country, dictatorship though it was. Now Time magazine has anointed George Bush 'person' of the year. Hollywood comedy writers could not dream up this stuff, that is the pulp fiction of today's news-reality, of everyday politics in the US. American politics is not only the soap opera, sitcom of the US, but of the world. Lets hope this kind of comedy is greatly appreciated, and is awarded several Emmys at
least. And what is not funnier still, is like Seinfeld, a lot of people don't get it.

12/15/04 Officials of the US keep warning of doomsday attacks on the United States, such as Tommy Thompson can't understand why the terrorists haven't sabotaged the US food supply
because it would be so easy. Maybe it is because the
terrorists are not as bad the US government is. Who is it that is against international war crimes court? Who is it that used atomic bombs on civilians? Who is it that has the largest nuclear and biological weapons
stores on the planet? Who is that continuously meddle
in other countries affairs, is the arms supplier to

12/13/04 Talking to an 80 year old 2nd World War veteran — served in tank core, Italy. Says they were mop up and took German prisoners. They captured this one group and had them under guard, and after a few days a captured German Colonel goes to the American Captain and demands better food under the provisions of the Geneva Convention. The American Captain says, 'But you are getting K rations, the best we have, and exactly the same as we are eating'. 11/15/04 Is it true that Kerry thinks he is going to run for president in '08 and that
is why he quit running before the votes were counted in this one. Is that progressive or what — some outside event in the future is more important than standing
and doing what he promised to do, which was not quit
before the votes were all counted. Where is he — back in the castle no doubt? The much maligned Nader that got trounced for daring to run in opposition to
Kerry, turns out to do Kerry's job and stand up for the Democrats. Even the Green and Libertarian Parties are pitching in on this and trying to investigate election irregularities and computer fraud to make elections honest in the future. Where are the Democrats? Where they always are — no where to be seen. 11/08/04 Bush held his first and maybe last news conference of his second term. First on his agenda was whipping the 'Yes Massa Media' into shape like an overseer on a slave plantation. Foremost was to enforce his one question rule. Two and three part
questions are too complicated for him. Now the follow up question, traditional in press conferences is necessary when the principle does not answer the first question. Of course for Bush, who never answers the first question, the follow up which makes this apparent is strictly forbidden. 11/03/04 Kerry has the blue states with the most population. Bush has the red states with the least population. Perhaps one could extrapolate and say the greater the wide open spaces of the heart

the world are used to determine the honesty of elections. As predicted it probably will be shown
in future, as far as possible with no material
evidence, that the election was stolen with the computers.

They think Bush is a rancher not knowing that his ranch was bought for Bush 3 months before his election and it

It was not said that the Washington Times is a right wing Moonie owned paper. It was not said that the so called journalist was member of the Bush Administration. It was not said that there was not
a single fact to back up this fairytale. What was important was that they got a story out so that their faithful would have something to believe in that
mitigates the damage. After that for these people,
real facts simply will not matter, and no matter
what is said — it was the Russians that did it.

10/27/04 Personally think all nuclear should be abolished — but within the framework of the nuclear mentality — quite amazing really, all the fuss over Iran and nuclear. Israel which has illegally occupied the West Bank for 30 years and broken maybe a hundred United Nations resolutions, gets to have nuclear but not Iran. The US that overthrew the government of Iran in '53, installed the Shaw and the Savakian reign of terror for 30 years — that backed and perhaps abetted Iraq in the invasion of Iran causing the murder of millions, gets to have nukes but not Iran. In fact the US is reportedly building bunker busting nuclear weapons, but for what other reason than to use on Iran's buried nuclear program. Is the US surrounded
with Iranian military installations or vice versa?
Was it Iran that ha dropped nukes on civilians? And

10/25/04 Did want to watch the world series but oh so hard. Know — in for trouble when it is carried by Fox, the pin ball wizard graphics and sound network for teenagers, skateboarders, graffiti artists, speed freaks, video gamers and MTV teeny boppers, where the attention span is something like a second — ZAP, POW, BANG, BOOM. It is obvious these control room directors do not, nor ever have been baseball fans. In fact they must consider it to be as boring as something like soccer, so they have to speed it up — only not like basketball where they actually changed the length of possession of the ball, but by switching from camera to camera every from 3 to 7 seconds, like in computer programmed sequence, so that one gets like seasick from all the constant movement. They cannot appreciate that baseball is a slow and meditative game and not a rock concert. Maybe have to get drunk, do drugs or at least seesick pill to get a proper appreciation of their presentation.

10/20/04 The US capitalist media has supported nearly every American war, probably at least 150 of the last 200 wars and police actions. The American capitalist media supported Viet Nam war, supported Iraq's war with Iran, both wars against Iraq, supported something like the death of 4 to 5 million right there. The US capitalist media would support Hitler, would support Stalin, Mussolini or Hirohito if history were to so make these men US presidents. The only reason the US capitalist media is as liberal as it - is because at the same time they support US imperialism, they must sell their advertising to a more liberal constituency. However CNN cable news is trying disprove this, since even though all their online polls show a fairly liberal audience, they have become as right wing as Fox. 10/18/04 The reason pseudo-conservatives, such as the Christian Right are so stupid is because they believe as George Lakoff points out, that children are considered naturally born evil and stupid, and thus they are treated as such, and must be trained like animals, with moral values and strict discipline. Because they are treated as morons at a young age, they are not exposed or encouraged to develop intelligence, and can only operate intellectually, to the lowly level that they are expected. And then they are indoctrinated with ideology that is narrow, ridged, fixed, singular and simplistic, which is the very opposite of intelligence, or being versed in all sides and aspects of any problem. Stupid people raise moronic people and thus the doltishness is environmentally congenital.
10/15/04 Many of this gang currently in the White House used to be known as the 'secret government', behind many crimes against humanity, as instanced by Viet Nam, Iran-Contra or Suddam Hussein. After 8 years of Clinton it may have been assumed that this gang was finally past its prime and would fade away. But no - they were resurrected with the election of the baby Bush, like a dragon growing another head, the family having a long history with right wing mayhem. Seems it takes a virtual stake in the heart to rid the world of these vampires. Or maybe just give them rein, and enough rope to hang themselves. For certainly the massive incompetence that accompanies their ideological criminality, will ultimately cause their demise and perhaps considering their entanglement with the power structure - perhaps suicide is the best solution. Course they may take down the whole with them, to a degree, as the whole body feels ill with chemotherapy.
10/13/04 Are Americans in general stupid? A good indicator might be how they drive. No matter how expensive the gasoline, and no matter the — from 8 to 15 mile per gallon vehicle — they floor it from the stop light, like they were just about to drive 80 miles non-stop through the desert, and charge the one, two or three block distance to the next light, where they slam on the brakes, wait for the light to go green and do it again. One could get better mileage with a hole in the gas tank. If one were smart enough to look ahead and see the light turn red, slow to the light, one may not have to stop and could keep a momentum of between 10 and 40 mile per hour, without stopping at all, and thus saving on gas. Course one may get run over by the idiots trying to get to the light at all possible speed so they can show off their
braking power. Course this may be a universal stupidity,
applicable to peoples everywhere.
10/11/04 Looks like the US presidential election may go to Kerry. This conjecture is based not on the polls, which only poll past and traditional voters, and some of which may be outright fixed, but based on the reports of millions and millions of new voters, the majority of which will probably go to Kerry. Course it may take a landslide to offset the Republican voter fraud that may be rampant throughout the land. And still a wild card is a very late October or early November surprise, or supposed terrorist attack on election day, which could be anything from the real
thing, to only terror alerts, to actual smoke and mirrors. Al Quida of course will want Bush reelected,
so the true perpetrators would be difficult to ascertain. But since if it is true the FEMA has scheduled terrorist exercises for election day, might not these turn into something more. Course if there
is a surprise, the closer to the election the better
for the surprisers — since there will be an appearance of fix.
10/08/04 The US is stuck in Iraq like to a tar baby. Neither Bush nor Kerry can pull out. 'Cause — it is what will almost never be said in the
US, except around the internet — it is the oil. It's not that the US must have the oil. Its that they can't let one of the largest oil reserves fall to an Iran type of religious regime. Such a regime would come to have tremendous power in the world, by the ability to control who they would sell their oil too, something the US policy makers are absolutely unwilling to ever allow. More than that they are locked into the region. Since Pakistan has nukes, they cannot allow them to fall into the hands of an Iran type religious regime. The instability of Afghanistan is a contributing factor
and thus — let the caissons roll on and the midnight funerals march to oblivion — get used to it, there will be no end to the death and dying until the steeds of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse drop from under the reins of chaos.

in history) were because Dick Cheney is so ill, so out of shape, or so fabricated, that he can't stand up for more the 10 minutes at a time. Notice him on the campaign stage — always sitting on a stool. This heartbeat is not qualified to be vice president and if he were a Democrat, there would be no end to the shrill din and clamor for his replacement by the mass mugging media.

If you work for things like the public water, fire, police, parks, library or a community hospital, you work for the community as a whole, which is socialist and Conservative. The integrity of the whole, as the community milieu and esthetic is greater than the individual, that would detract from it for their own singular benefit. If you work for private owners, like for-profit corporations or business, you work for the enrichment of the few, which is capitalist and Progressive. In this case the community is used and exploited for personal gain and progressive elitism. Benefit to the community is more or less incidental or trickle down.

09/29/04 Why is Bush so successful in the polls, at least with his constituency? Maybe it is that his message consists in no more than 7 words. 'Freedom is on the Roll.' 'Freedom is on the march.' 'We must stay the course.' 'We won't give in to demands.' 'Roadmap to peace.' 'War on terror.' 'We must not waver.' 'Bring it on' — the 'Terminator' of national politics, 'hasta la vista' baby! Maybe his constituency cannot comprehend any phrase longer than 7 words. And even these simple catch phrases seem to need to be repeated over and over again, like radio station identification, every few minutes like "this is 'IDIT' Idiot Radio" — cause ya just can't figure out what ya are listenin' too. Maybe the democrats need to learn this simple lesson, if they want to appeal to those swing
and Republican voters.
09/27/04 Amazing that a barrel of oil can cost around 45 dollars and the price of a gallon of gas goes go down. Used to be it seems — the price of a barrel of oil goes up and Walla — instantly the price of a gallon goes up. At 37 dollars
a barrel a gallon of gas was the highest in history.
At 45 dollars a barrel — not any more. The price of barrel goes up and a gallon goes down. Well the Saudis were suppose to come to the rescue, but the price of barreled oil has gone up. The price of a gallon was rising again and Hurricane Ivan came to the rescue, and Bush opened up the strategic reserve. But barreled oil went up. How much is keeping a gallon of gas under two dollars costing the oil companies, assuming cheaper gas will help Bush at the polls? How much will a gallon of gas cost after the election? Or is all of this just too cynical?

in fortress America, commanding the forces fighting evil Floridation everywhere, having launched the no return missile, with the attacks on Afganistan and Iraq, their weapons programs reloading the arm's race with Russia, China, Korea. And now he must stop forces internal to the fortress from ending his mission of preemptive world conflagration. Rumsfeld is Major T.J. 'King' Kong - going to ride that missile all the way to Iran. Fiction is life and life is fiction, and the 3 star irony is that the actual display of reality by the media is like a Disney cartoon - pure fantasy and thus the perception of reality in America has become a Holy Wood script and the actual theater of Dr. Strangelove.

of nations with central governments, whether they be monarchies, dictatorships or democracies, is that they become corrupt, and the longer they exist in a particular form the more corrupt they get. They become so corrupt that alternative fundamentalist challenges spring up as revolutionary vanguards, often taking the form of pure, uncorrupted, strict, puritanical, secular and theocratic political vanguards, which may equate in reality to anti-corruption movements. After a period of attempted overthrows and violence the corrupt government is overthrown and a more pure state replaces it, until it too becomes more and more corrupt and the whole thing begins all over again. When the consequence of the individual depends on material gain, corruption as a means to this end will always dictate the nature of

That is because he is a Democrat, which is the de facto socialist party in America, that is to Republicans the same as communism and commonism. Now what do you know about the history of the Bush family? Absolutely nothing unless you can find it on the net. This is because the Bushies are Republicans and capitalists. They control the media in America and in affect, by the selective dispensation of information, they control who will be the next president. There is so much complete blackout of oh so many truths, there is really not a lot of difference between US and police state media, except that by the constitution they cannot totally suppress free speech.

like who one votes for in the US presidential election,
as those who vote for Bush would have to support his wars, by going to Afghanistan or Iraq in some capacity, to support their convictions, as hospital workers, office administration, construction, truck drivers, school teachers, military service or any of hundreds
of jobs. Does anyone think that anyone would vote for Bush then — except but a few hardcore adherents? Not a chance — he wouldn't get one percent of the vote. But otherwise voting is easy and any moron can do it.
09/15/04 Who owns most of the
US over-the-air media but one-hundred percent unqualified thieves. By law, the airwaves are owned by the public and as such should be governed and operated by and for the community, wherein all profit should go to programming and community service. Private individuals, companies and corporations have stolen
the community owned media, and use this monopoly for personal profit. In so far as the complaints of bias, lying, propaganda, disinformation or misrepresentation by omission, in the privately owned media are concerned, what else would one expect from the moral morass of thieves.
09/13/04 The great turning point in the to-go-to-war-with-Iraq debate came with Colin Powel's rant to the United Nations. People in general were hesitant, knowing all this talk of an attack from Iraq was new, and that there had been a containment for ten years, and no one had ever heard of this before. So there was opposition and general suspicion. Then Powel went before the UN and the world and cinched the thing for good, changed everyone's mind and presented a picture of impending doom if Iraq were not dealt with. Now everyone knows it was all a mammoth lie. So is Powel the biggest liar in history, or is he the biggest dupe. Must be the greatest liar, since anyone with any integrity would have resigned, learning they had been duped. But then again he may have no integrity. Either way history will remember Colin Powel as one of the great liars or great dupes of all time.
09/10/04 Well he had a prior felony. The guy with six kids, ages 5 through 14
got ten years for possession of alcohol. Won't be out till his kids are all grown. Who is to support them?
No he wasn't even drunk - had a six pack in the fridge. Of course had he not had the prior felony, the sentence might not have been so severe, maybe even probation.
And he was a Christian man, so those religious pillars of the society were in shock and awe. How could they have done this they raved? What is wrong with a little alcohol - why we have it at sacrament. It's the government is what it is — it is the low down no good government pokin' their nose in where it don't belong. Incredible isn't it? 'Cept — this really
did happen only recently, and to not just one person
but probably untold numbers, and it wasn't alcohol but Marijuana.
09/09/04 It is universal on the national US cable news stations. Swift boat ads for a month — no problem and on and on ad-nauseum. Now we have the no show guard AWOL ads — and it is suddenly old news. It is suddenly 30 years ago and doesn't matter. It is suddenly enough is enough of this stuff. It is suddenly why don't we discuss the real issues. It is suddenly we are not going to show anymore of this mud slinging. Isn't it nice that they have finally seen the light and adopted the high moral ground.
09/07/04 Got to love this guy's opinion, submitted by a local who claims to have
been in the news biz most of his career, decrying the media for advocacy, supporting one or the other of the candidates. No — he thinks they should be fair and unbiased, independent and not take sides. He goes on to demonstrate this unbiased media journalism — as to tell the unvarnished truth about Bush, and what a great president he has been and will be, and to tell the truth about Kerry and what a terrible president he will make. That this guy is so dumb that he obviously cannot fathom the oxymoron of his opinion, or that he could be anything but a night watchman in a truly unbiased media business, or work only for Fox news or Rush Limbaugh, goes without saying. But maybe what is more funny or pathetic is that this comedic travesty obviously represents the view of the owner and his hired
publisher presented in what is probably all
seriousness.
09/03/04 One of the great war movies of all time is 'Apocalypse Now'. The theme consists in a Captain Willard moving up the river from Viet Nam into Cambodia in a 'swift boat', to find an out of control Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) whose resume is introduced slowly, as we the audience, are taken up-river, and elements along the way symbolize various aspects of the war. What may not be recognized by most is that the resume of Colonel Kurtz is a symbol for the American Washington, New England establishment, a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Dr. Jekyll of the proper, well heeled, so-called respectable, tweedy upper middle class eastern establishment, and Mr. Hyde in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos engaged in the murder of millions. Dr. Jekyll has taken the potion again, and becoming Mr. Hyde is on the loose again, in Afghanistan and Iraq, while Dr. Jekyll is called a coward, a traitor, a liar and flip flopper, throughout the land via the agencies of the Hollywood media.
09/01/04 It seems some liberals don't understand why lower class people vote Republican. The Republican Party is the bastion corporations, the merchant classes and millionaires, and sticks it to the lower classes in nearly every instance. So the reason the lower middle class votes Republican is probably
that the Republican Party stands for no new taxes which equates to no new taxes on their cigarettes, beer and their campers. It stands for little or no regulation, which equates to — they get to drive their snowmobiles, their off-roadies, jet skis, speedboats, motor bikes, cycles and 3 & 4 wheelers where ever and whenever they like. No mufflers on their Harleys, or small airplanes. They want to play their boom boxes whenever and as loud as they like. And no telling 'em what to do with their land. They wana do what they wanna do. That's American freedom.
