dead Vietnamese, had this to say — paraphrasing — 'these people just don't have any respect for human life', meaning apparently that they would sacrifice their lives to
US firepower and body counts unendingly, and thus unlike
we who kill them by the thousands, have no respect for human life. Ironic isn't it.
05/14/04 Is there democracy in Iraq yet? Is Iraq free yet? Suddam is gone and is Iraq free now?
Who are Americans daily killing and being killed by — free Iraqis? What exactly is democracy? One would suppose a key aspect of democracy is free elections. What American official has ever once mentioned an Iraqi election? Oh — something about in January. The US capitalist media spouts democracy in Iraq until the cows come home, but how often do they mention elections? Where are the elections or the proposal of such elections? Well — they are being demanded by Muqtada Sadr the radical Shiite cleric and he is wanted dead or alive. They can have elections in Tim-Buck-two for fifty cents, but for 100 billion in Iraq — can't seem to have one, but only the hint of one. Or maybe the new line will be that democracy in Arab countries does not need elections, as they are incompatible with Muslim tradition.
05/12/04 In the California congress, they have started the process of legislation to let 16 year olds vote for half credit or half vote, and 14 year olds for one quarter vote. Are these kids old enough to vote? Probably
a Republican plot, knowing that there constituency is not the swiftest in the stream, and so recruit them right out of the cradle. Maybe they should change the voting process to a point system based on the voter's age. A one year old child would get one point and a 60 year old would get 60 points. Not that
a whole lot of seniors are any brighter than 10 year olds — and of course senile seniors may balance out the toddlers — but they could use the old ruse that the voting system reflects the wisdom of experience.
05/09/04 Since for the US to win the war in Iraq against the insurgents, be they ex-Suddam loyalists or freedom fighters, they need intelligence that they can only get from prisoners, that identifies and details exactly where these people are. It maybe fairly safely said that the interrogations at Abu Ghraib prison are an integral aspect
of the war. Thus for the pentagon to say they didn't know is somewhat impossible to believe. Written reports on the torture there have been around for at least a year. We know Bush either can't or doesn't read, so all that was all lost on him. We know the American public doesn't read much either, getting most of their news from TV. So it can be assumed that the Pentagon wasn't much worried about written reports of torture in Iraq
or anywhere else. What apparently they weren't counting on was photos. Bush said, if I had known about the photos. Rumsfeld said, if we had known about the photos… So they got caught — and it couldn't get much worse or will it? There is a reason the US will not sanction the International Criminal Court or the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture.
05/07/04 Keep the American Iraqi and Afghanistan war dead a secret, no photos, no ceremonies, sneak the coffins into the country in the dead of night. Have and attend no ceremonies, since heaven forbid, this should embarrass the families. So finally we get a national ceremony, a TV spectacular no less in sweeps month. What of — your average GI Joe per chance? Not on your life — what — in the made for the prissy and privileged America. No —
a ceremony for an elite star football player of all things.
And why was this foot ball star a hero for dying in Afghanistan? Because of bravery in battle? No we never heard how he died. It was because he gave up — yep — what else in America — three and one half million dollars, to enlist in the army for his country. What a sacrifice. And seems the only sacrifice the people that put this ceremony on can understand. Can you believe it? Talk about the decadence of empire.
05/05/04 The US drug companies are nothing too much more than criminal enterprises, enforced by
a criminal government, causing the US consumer to pay from 10 to a 100 times the cost of drugs, as anywhere else in the world. The US is one of only two countries in the world that allow drug advertising on the electronic media. And now the government has enacted criminal laws to make it a crime to
buy cheaper drugs from foreign countries, or even for the purchasing in bulk, by large medical organizations, to get cheaper prices. And all this profit supposedly, so they can afford to develop even more drugs, never mind that they are
the most profitable corporations in the world, but don't want to develop new antibiotics for the new antibiotic resistant super bugs, that they helped create by encouraging their overuse, for profit of course, because there is not enough profit incentive. Dear me, apparently only an American illness.
05/03/04 There was an Ernie Ford song with the line, 'I owe my soul to the company store'. This line means that the only store the employees have access to is owned by the company, and the company charges more for what it sells than it pays in wages, but gives credit with interest of course, and obviously one never gets out of debt, to the company store. It is said that Walmart has really cheap prices, and in a similar vein they have a built in customer base, because the wages they pay are so low that the only place they can afford to shop is Walmart.
04/30/04 Were what - half to a dozen major terrorist attacks of any dimension world wide in the decade before Bush got elected? Now three years later, there are dozens daily all over the world, mostly in Iraq, and many more foiled so we are told. And Bush has launched two un-winnable wars so far, and apparently would have launched more if he had the troops. No telling what this character is capable. Looks like the whole of the Middle East may go up in flames at any time, and this president is running his re-election campaign on all this violence and death.
Maybe it is not for nothing this guy is Skull and Bones.
04/28/04 If one listens to typical talk radio that is almost totally Right Wing, and that allows phone calls from friendly listeners, one will become immediately aware of just how dumb some Americans really are. So when you listen to the media spokesman and ladies saying and spewing the dumbest tripe an idiot could dream up, it must be this group of morons they are talking too. These meda hosts are delegated to make sure they vote for Bush and Republicans. One will notice that this is not a difficult job, if one is either a cretin

04/26/04 In America there is perception and there is actuality. The perception promoted is that the US justice system is fair. But the reality is that it actually reflects the desire of all rich and ruling classes, that they should not go to jail, while making sure that the people at
the bottom do. Apparently the same principle applies for the criminal world as well. Would think the priority would be to put criminal kingpins in jail. But this is the U.S. In actuality the way it works is that the more people someone
can rat on the less jail time they will get. The kingpins
often do not go to jail at all. The lower downs insulated
from the uppers have less to give and so do more or all the time. So the least important often get the most time while the most important do the least. Like everything else in America, actuality is the opposite of perception.

this TV news is in some alternate universe, giving the news from the inside of Disneyland. There was a Dick Cavett interview, if memory serves, fifteen or twenty years ago,
with a man who was in Berlin in the early years of Nazi Germany, and went to school and had social circles with
some of those who would become and were Nazi government administrators. The question from Cavett was why did they do it, and were they aware of the crimes being committed by their government? The answer was, it was their careers. This was it for them, it was their time of life, their big chance, the big career and all their dreams, and they weren't going to give it up, for things like political disagreements.
04/21/04 With the capitalist media where profit is the motive for the content of news, it is always in their interest to portray those accused of crimes

04/19/04 A report out of Stanford purports that the bay area local television news devotes
a grand total of about a minute a day to political content
that would inform citizens, in reference to ballot measures
and candidates of coming elections. At the same time these station owners run millions of dollars of paid political ads, pocketing the profit. Since political advertising is advocacy ads on both sides of the fence, that are usually misleading if not outright lies, to run serious in-depth investigative profiles of ballot content that would contradict these paid ads, would be a conflict of interest to their paid political
ad subscribers.
04/16/04 It is reported that no steel frame high-rise has ever in history been taken down by fire until 9/11, when 2 buildings were collapsed by the ravages
of inferno. World Trade Center building number 7, a 40 story building was deliberately brought down by controlled demolition, late in the afternoon of 9/11, supposedly due to fire damage. How did they truck in and plant the explosives in less than 4 hours? Unlikely that they could. If not - the explosives had to have been already set - pre 9/11. The latest theory is that explosives were pre-set, in this building and that of the north and south towers as well, so that if there would be a need to bring these buildings straight down, in a controlled manner, there could be prevented the falling of them sideways, causing extensive damage for blocks in the direction of the crash. If the take-down of Trade Center Building 7 seems a bit fishy, perhaps there are still more fish in the sea.
04/14/04 America has the reputation of promoting democracy around the world. But in actuality there may not be but a few cases if any, in all the international meddling and government changing, where the US has ever installed a bottom-up democracy, any where in the world? In fact the US overthrows every such government where they have major commercial interests. Actually the people who run the US State Department and foreign affairs do not believe in democracy, and would not have it in the US, except for the constitution, which is difficult to get rid of. What the US promotes around the world is top-down ruling class government, be it democracy
or fascist outright, that they can control with corruption,

04/12/04 Another study done lately has shown that commercial TV is detrimental to the IQ of children. Of course we get the total denial from people who should know better. Anyone ever try to watch MTV innovated quick-cut flash format? You can't get a clear look at anything, like an hour long MTV style concert once, where the cuts were so fast that could never get a good look at the performers to be able to identity them. How anybody can watch this stuff for more than 30 seconds without becoming stupefied is a mystery, but to subject kids to these kinds of flash cartoons is criminal. Need speed to be able to keep up with it. Of course it has to make people stupid, like trying to read a blurred newspaper where can't tell quite what anything says. Can only guess that their intention is to make people stupid, so that they will buy the crap they sell.
04/09/04 If the US is an empire, and indeed an evil empire, then while evil is the opposite of say truth, and while truth is still admired in some quarters, both within and outside the empire, there will the requirement for the empire to put logic on its head. 04/07/04 Eating disorders are rampant in the US, like over and under eating. In Italy they make a ham called Prosciutto, where it has to be cured at a specific temperature with salt, for a specific period of months and then
repeated, and this is a national law. In America they can put arsenic in the food and it doesn't matter, so long as they make a lot of profit and nobody can be proved to die or suffer ill health from it. American eating disorders - if you can't afford organic - pick your poison, fruits and pesticides; meat, milk and eggs and antibiotics and hormones; processed food and who knows what, all to the benefit of the producers, and to the ill health of the consumers. It is the American way.

04/02/04 America did a great service
to Iraq in overthrowing Saddam Hussein, a monster of a dictator. So what's the problem? Why we just have to be totally for this war and occupation, as is every right wing moron in the country. The problem is they didn't do it to liberate Iraq, and that was never given as a reason for invading Iraq ahead of time. All the real reasons are progressive, meaning they are not anything inherent in the integrity of Iraqi society.
They are for oil, for military control of the Middle East, for Israel, for the privatization of the country and the selling off of its assets to foreign corporations. They did it to steal and control the country. And that is why not only does the truth not support the war in Iraq, but must be sympathetic, violent as it is, to the insurgents. In a situation such as this, one's own feelings about violence and terrorism are not apropos, since the Iraqi's know what is going on, and they are going to fight the invading thieves no matter.

Now she is threatening Jamaica. Can you imaging threatening a country for allowing the stay of an overthrown, democratically elected head of state? Where is the media? but might also include Iraq where terrorism has killed

Civilian causalities, as a result of the Bush administration's response to the so-called war on terror (code for oil) around the world, is approximately 4,000 in Afghanistan, and from 5,000 to 50,000 in Iraq (good guys caused casualties don't count) and ongoing. So who is winning the war 'of' terrorism? Obviously it is the Bush administration, since they have killed from double to 10 times the number of civilians, as have the so called terrorists. When Bush says he is winning the war 'of' terrorism, for once he means it.
03/24/04 No mystery about J. Edgar Ashcroft. Of course they are going spy on everyone who is not right wing. This sort of simplistic mind is only capable of under/overstanding the world as good and evil. They know themselves and they are good. But they don't know much about those not like themselves. the history of the republic? While it may be known, that a mandatory lie detector test is required for all prospective appointees of this administration, it is not well known that the requirement for getting the job is that they fail the lie detector test.

03/15/04 Since 9/11 what have we got? The US has overthrown the government of Afghanistan and Iraq, tried to overthrow the government of Venezuela and is still trying, may have been involved in the change of government in
post-Soviet Georgia, probably overthrew the government of Haiti and may now be implicated in the attempted overthrow of Equatorial Guinea. And these may be only the ones we have heard about. They are probably just getting started and if they were not so bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan there is no telling how much more 'regime change' they would be attempting. 03/12/04 Now that John Kerry is the official Democratic nominee, the next official act may be to commit Hari Kari, and pick a vice presidential candidate that will lose him the election, which is a tradition with the Democratic Party. For Mondale it was the first woman, the strategy being one would suppose, to win half the electorate. Currently for example talk by political strategists is Phil Gramm for VP, to take
the key state of Florida. And of course, who in the rest of
the country would care for Phil Gramm; and with Florida a Diebold state, rigging elections right and right, he wouldn't win even that. So God knows the Dems have been here before
with high hopes, before they were dashed with some brilliant political out-think themselves machination. Course if it is a Scull & Bones influenced pick, it certainly won't be John Edwards, probably the best choice.

03/03/04 I suppose everyone has noticed that nearly every woman in music, television and movies looks nearly the same, in facial and body structure and formation. All female talent must it seems, suit an ideal doll face model. The woman on the recent Oscars presentation were so perfectly Arian, that it would have probably made Walt Disney proud.
Now we know what face scanning technology is for. However apparently this technology has not yet been perfected, not seeming to work for men, since some of the ugliest men in God's creation are to be found everywhere in this same medium. For those talented woman interested in pursuing a media career, it might be best to get a face test first, before wasting one's time on an impossible dream. Who won the Second World War?

03/01/04 Passion of Christ, the 2 hour death scene, is a perfect illustration of the true history of the Catholic Church and its offshoots, probably the worst institution ever created in history, in terms of the health and general welfare of the ecology of the planet. Still - this movie is baby fluff compared to the real crimes of this church, which over the centuries make even the Nazis look like humanitarians. Anybody who has ever scene the torture instruments and methods employed in the middle ages, by this virulent institution would understand, that if the church burned alive only, without the torture, at least a million so-called witches, warlocks pagans or people whose property they wanted, then these had to be thankful, for that was the most merciful and least painful way to go, at the hands of the church of mercy.
