In the undertaking of the study of Consequence, a means to this end is through the use of Secondary Identities. One can create any number of Identities one wants. The Identities one would create would represent various types of Consequence. The Identity of a surgeon could be said to represent the Consequence of life and death, and the Identity of a priest could be said to represent the Consequence of the Soul.

Since one possesses only one body in one place at one time, for most people the interpretation and knowledge gained from experience is limited to a single perspective and context, or a Primary Identity. All extraneous vicarious information as experienced through such as books, theater, film and the like is filtered through that very narrow context. There is the further constriction of the difficulty of any real personal involvement, where one would be forced to take responsibility for the real and actual Consequence of any given decisions, as depicted by fictional portrayal.

The old adage: 'but for the grace of God, there go I', essentially means the ability to relate to others and compassion. If one were someone else, what decisions would one make and be forced to take, and what would be the consequences of those decisions? If the Ego is more similar than dissimilar for everyone, and the natural and human created environments were also considered as more fundamentally alike than not, then the theory would be that all essential Consequence would also be similar, and that differences would be achieved more by one's contexts for interpretation or the creation of Secondary Identities. If one would make a serious study of the psychology of the human condition one might consider an alternative to vicarious fictional experience through the study of Secondary Identities.

There are three primary facets to this kind of undertaking. The use of Secondary Identities that allow and promote varying perspectives. The use of real everyday experience as the context in which to utilize this type of experience. The use and facility of Belief as a means to experience Consequence of unreal Identities.
