Love and Hate
the first a product of Ego, and the second more the result of the Identities.

The Ego is a selector of the colloection of Association, specifically as that which pertains to and affects the body. Identities are created primarily for the purpose of the accomplishment of objectives, which become personalities in and of themselves. The Ego is said to be the genesis of love, the Identities of hate.

Emotion is defined as physical reaction or response, of the Human Sensory Apparatus to sensual stimulation external or internal, as present experience or thinking of, wherein the response is affected by and relative to Associations which contain Consequential Value significant to the individual.

Love is associative of what is of great consequence and hate is associative of what affects one's consequence negatively. Most people love their dogs or cats. Most people would hate that which may bring harm to their animals. Animals in general might engender mild emotion, but the Tasmanian Devil none at all.

The Ego is the genesis of Love because Consequence is immediate, pleasure pain to the body, and where pleasure becomes of Consequence, love blooms. One may like the taste of ice cream but when it becomes important, one may say one loves - ice cream.

By the same token one may hate prunes, liver or spinach. The Ego can love or hate in equal measure. But mother says it is good for me because she read it in a book, or would that be mother Identity, in that it is an abstract source.

The point following here, that the Ego embraces both love and hate because pleasure and pain and the consequences therein are so close, such that one can even love to hate. One of one's loves is to hate. Well if I don't like it - it is my business. The Ego's loves and hates, are pretty much restricted to the self and ones own body, the sphere of the Ego.

The Identities as personalities in and of themselves, would have independent consequential values, pertaining to the objectives of which they are created. The fire man or maam may love a good fire. Identities are created by the mind and can exist independent of the body as well as be completely imaginary. My sex life and thus Identity, is completely imaginary and thus as such, one can love for instance pain, because it is thought but not real.

Which is to say Identities may be created to engender hate, in which objects and people are defined as non-consequential, as instanced by objectives of racially bias ideology or religious intolerance.

My painter Identity loves to paint and was chosen as an avocation because so. Identities can be created that both engender hate and or love.

The Ego has one body and one is stuck with it. Thus it would be fitting to choose Identities that correspond well with it. Identities can be chosen and discarded. A loving Identity can be replaced with a hateful one and vice versa. An Identity can be chosen that hates the body and one's own Ego, which is generally when the body does not correspond to the ideal of the time. The Ego can hate a despicable Identity, like a dishonest undertaker. Often when these antagonisms exist they are sublimated to the unconscious and are consciously non-existent.

Conflicts between the Ego and Identities are almost always sublimated and unconscious. The Ego has no interest in parachute jumping and has nightmares that the shoot won't open. The high flying Identity laughs, and says I am invincible. The Identity loves a good fly and the Ego hates it, as an endangerment to the body.

Objectives are externally directed as producing products from external sources such as the hunter or the berry picker. Objectives as external means love and hate are externally sourced. One may love or hate hunting or berry picking. Generally the Ego comes to love over time what it is familiar with. However Identities in conflict with such circumstance may hate what the Ego loves. She loves stay at home affairs, but her feminist Identity tells her home is not where the heart should be.

IIt might also be said the Ego is of the feminine side and does not that much get along with male Gods. Identities in men would be more masculine, as they made a man of the boy. And because the accomplishment of objectives requires generally drive, enterprise, initiative and fortitude, which might be associated with masculine attributes. The Ego might be more associated with mother nature.

The war between the Ego and the Identities is a war between polytheistic socialists and monotheistic capitalists, socialism an attribute of the Ego and Capitalism as that of the Identities. Thus it is said that humankind is at war with itself and is too ignorant to understand why.
