By correspondence
Ego below and Soul above, are considered to perform the same function, but of different dimensions.

The Ego is second dimension meaning mind as opposed to anatomy. The Ego is the care taker of the physical body, and it's chief concern is the welfare of the embodiment.

By correspondence the Soul would be said to be the Ego of Soul's body, and to perform the same functions as Ego pertaining to its bodies dimensional form. And it's chief concern would be the welfare of its other dimensional embodiment on the Soul plane.

The Ego is the first personality, originating at the ages of two and three. Because objectives are necessary in life, the Ego creates Identities to accomplish objectives. Identities are anything from accountant, ambulance driver, structural engineer or veterinarian.

The theory here is that the Ego is conservative and Identities are progressive, thus the Ego would not be as good at accomplishing objectives as are the Identities, which are personalities in themselves.

Further this theory of Metaphysical psychology would have the Soul as also creating objective-seeking personalties called Spirits. Thus for each objective the Soul might have a single Spirit.

However the Ego and the Identities use the same body on the physical plane. Thus when objectives are to be accomplished of other dimensions, it would be Spirits that assume the place of objective creating Identities.

Spirits are inter-dimensional, or meaning between the physical and second dimensional Ego and Identities, and the fifth dimensional Soul and its would be fourth dimensional body and plane of existence.

From the physical plane and the Ego's point of view, objectives which are transcendent to the spiritual plane would be called Ipseities. And Spirits would be the Ipseities of the Soul.

From this side the physical, Ipseities would substitute for Spirits. And an individual acting as an Ipseity appeals to Spirits, the Ipseities of the Soul. And by this scenario, objective achievement is possible both on the physical and the Soul plane.

By correspondence then it would be presumed that the Soul has a body, has an Ego, has objectives and exists on an dimensional plane other than the physical.

It would further be presumed that the Soul has objectives concerning the first dimension physical, and the Ego has objectives concerning the fourth and fifth dimensions. And thus the two can work in conjunction thru the auspices of the Spirits.
