Inherent to Progressive
Materialism is class, as degrees of material accumulation and wealth, acquired by the system of Excess and Profit called Progressive, because the object is progressively more and more.

The four class system of India is the Brahmins or priests, the Rajanyas as rulers, administrators and warriors, the Vaishyas as artisans, merchants, tradesmen and farmers, and Shudras the labouring classes. However there is a fifth called the Dalits, or the untouchables.

Such systems still exists in India and other countries perhaps all, as well as Empire America. Communist theory promised the classless society, but ended up with a two class system, as upper communist party members, and the lower classes everyone else.

Class is the personal distinctions created by disparities of economic access, or what people can afford, as standard of living, health and well being, education, housing, disparities evidenced in every state and culture on the planet.

Excess and Profit is the handmaiden of the class order, which corresponds to the Progressive Evaluative System, of oppositional evaluation between One bad and Ten good. One is the untouchable class, two to four the lower middle class, five and six middle, seven and eight the upper middle, nine and ten upper class.

One adds from the bottom and Ten subtracts from the top. The bottom gives those above something to add from and in comparison feel more and better than, and if I'm low - I'm not that low.

The purpose of the untouchable class is a solid bottom for addition. There but for the grace of God go you. One the untouhable class, the witch, the deviant, degenerate, depraved, Indigenous, primitive, uncivil and uneducated. Such persons act emblematic for society in general, as the bottom of which all add from as more than. And easily identified would be darker skin color and thus - this system of degreed progressive identification, is misidentified as racism.

What is called Nationalism comes out of the lower classes, two's, three's and fours and generally comprises the largest percentage of most societies, up to seventy percent. And thus it is in the interest of the ruling classes to particularly control this class strata, as these are the catalyst of most revolutions. As semi-educated these people blame their lowly status on those below them, who work cheaper and take their jobs and do not share their values, but never on the true cause of the problem which is the rich, because they want to be rich themsellves, and so only think the best of wealth. And you won't find the rich complaining at that.

The top of the scale is subtractive. One is so many degrees less than top, but so many degrees better than bottom. The progressive system of class identification is individual, since some people are unaware of just what and who the higher classes are. In these modern times, they are represented as new rich who may actually be four, fives or sixes, but which represent for the unknowing Ten. So while the bottom is blatant, the top may or may not be obscured.

What comprises class content is also individualistic. For most it is money. For others it is education, the proper and correct schools, or a combination of the two. For others it is property or the age of the family and vocal accent. For others it is profession, fashion or who you know. Different class levels and individuals will have different interpretations, of what class is comprised. Some will admit of no class at all.

However in real politic terms, the blameworthy bottom of the scale is well identified, whereas the top at least in Empire America is obscure. "The promise of America in the vision of the Founders was that of liberty and equality in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution." But the equality part didn't exactly turn out all that equal.

The lower classes would have a propensity to assess status primarily by adding from the bottom, of which they are closer to than the top. They also might subtract from the middle of the scale where they might have some familiarity rather than the top with none. On the other hand the same is true for the upper classes who may primarily subtract from the top being unfamiliar with the bottom, and thus when adding from below may add from the middle class.

The class system constitutes individually, economic familiarity with one's own class level and not necessarily of what is above or below. As such class strata is generally partitioned, since persons of one class strata may understand little or nothing of the mores of those higher or lower. New money, of lower class though more wealthy, believe what is new is high class, while old money believes what is old is upper crust. Thus class strata is more or less exclusive.

Class evaluation according to this theory is the Progressive Evaluative System, as the means to evaluate anything from soup to nuts, start to finish, A to Z, beginning to end. One to One-zero. Ten to one-hundred and so on. How does it rate on a scale of one to ten ? It's universal and applies to everything evaluated progressively, or from primordial to aggrandizement.

Alternately the Conservative system of evaluation is called Optimum Correspondence, which uses a single point comparative base, as the optimum condition of any given entity. Value and Consequence is assessed as either optimum, or something less or too much more. ""Ahhh, this porridge is just right," she said happily and she ate it all up."" The condition is not dependent on external comparison, but an inherent value related to optimum function and thus it is possessed of its own authentic existence. Optimum Correspondence would apply to socialism.
