Conservative/Progressive
in the triumphant capitalist empire by common usage, each means it's opposite as the other.
Conservative means moderate,
traditional, conventional, orthodox, unchanging, dogmatic, hidebound, moderate. Change that reproduces and preserves the same state is called Conservative. Conservative means that the integrity of any given pre-existent state is greater than alternatives that can be created to replace them.
Progressive means developing, proceeding, advancing, growing, developing, ongoing; the common definition as improvement, progress, betterment and advancement.
Progressed states are considered as of greater consequence than the value of pre-existent states or entities they replace, or change which is defined as producing a superior state or condition to that which was replaced by transformation or destruction.
It could agreed that Conservative means
anti-development and Progressive means pro-development. The rich, the capitalists, the Republicans call themselves Conservative and are commonly universally defined as Conservative, but are Progressive developers, the end ever more development in their relentless pursuit of money, a progressive enterprise in itself.
Progressives more generally called liberals view themselves as more enlightened, civilized, knowledgeable, literate, reasonable and sophisticated, and are typically anti-development. Save the forests, oceans, wildlife. They are ecological, small farmer, local produce, and in general are in terms of development Conservative.
And this definition excepting the ecology, generally describes the lower middle class; conservative who tend to be and preserve local, only because they have not a great deal of money to progressively up-scale into the middle classes, and would if they could.
Thus politically both sides are inarticulate and these two aspects are in actuality socialism and capitalism. Capitalists know they are capitalists because they make money, but do not understand they are Progressive.
A certain antipathy exists between capitalism which is Progressive, and socialism which is Conservative. Progressives who are in actuality Conservative, do not know they are socialists and as such cannot form any kind of political dialogue and platforms from which to build political parties. Capitalists have the money to create any sort of political nonsense they aspire.
