It was an Empire
called America, but most of it's citizens were unaware that America was even that, let alone the greatest of all empires in all history to that time, in terms of world wide military outposts, murder, wealth and power.

No its citizens didn't know much, since it was a capitalist empire, meaning huge capitalist corporations controlled the knowledge limited to their own perspective of profits, from the gizmo's they produced. Capitalism 's free press so called was not that free at all. In fact the good guys were bad and the bad guys good, to read them tell of it, and the truth was blacklisted.

Corporations printed the educational books and controlled the mass media in the sole interest of profits, as return on investment for share holder capitalism. In Britain the government is of the House of Lords of the landed aristocracy equivalent to the Empire's Republican party, and the House of Commons equivalent to the Empire's Democratic Party. But still there was the Democratic party that passed into law a socialist safety net for the masses and most reasonable environmental protections. However then even that party became infested with sold out morons who blamed Russia for their own idiot incompetence and corruption, or was it fluoride in the water ?

America was suppose to be a democracy, and it was and worked quite well on the local and state levels, but the federal government was corrupt thru and through. After WorldWar II a secret government was created, a national security state, that operated in the interests of energy oil, the war industry, the banks and the lords, as well as international corporations, whose business it was to steal whatever was not nailed down in second and third world countries.

The mandate of empire was as always, Manifest Destiny or to remake the primitive into the golden eye of the profiteer, where money gives meaning to living. Since the empire ran on raw resources, and they gobbled them up internally, they had to obtain them from foreign sources, in which they installed corrupt dictators of the local ruling classes, and stole the people's national resources. When the people protested they were called terrorists and killed, usually by local thugs allied with ruling classes.

These capitalists, a none too educated bunch, were haters of socialism, because government with wider interests than simply profit, for instance the welfare of the greater citizenry, restricted their profits by demanding such as a living wage, health benefits, retirement, such that the capitalists moved their industries off-shore for cheap labor and no social humanitarian overhead. Make a shoe for fifty cents and charge a hundred dollars in the empire of enlightened humanity.

While meanwhile the secret government and national security state, with control now of the mass media, produced a continual enemy paranoia falling sky, to justify massive taxation for more and ever more weapons of war. And in fact the Empire had engaged in over one hundred wars, depending on the definition, but most of the money was spent for wars that didn't happen, called cold wars or manufactured hysteria.

Meanwhile the Empire claimed for a century that they were the Manifest Destiny of freedom and self-determination, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, while all the time suppressed by the mass media, the Empire quashed by military coup, general government overthrow, assignation, trade sanctions, economic warfare on every government on the planet nearly, that tried to implement greater freedom, socialism, better wages, health and education for their citizens.

Currently the Empire is engaged in seven wars : Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Meanwhile it is threatening war with Russia, Iran and North Korea. The dead, wounded, maimed, psychologically shattered and refuges, children and families attributable to the Empire is in the millions, and of which the average citizen has no idea, thanks to the freedom of the capitalist press.

The national political class has no idea either. Not that they don't know, but that they are not smart or mentally acute enough to realize what they do. They are so astoundingly stupid they don't have a clue. These people can't be prosecuted theoretically for war crimes because they are so moronic they don't know what they are, known in the judicial field as idiot innocence.

And so the empire mired in debt created since sultan Bush the Great III began the seventeen years wars ongoing, while the empire is dying on the inside, and the working classes which built the empire, in their desperation and on the edge bankruptcy elected an imbecile for president. How the working classes thought a billionaire was going to represent them is is of course irreconcilable. Republicans were for the rich - period.

So the president Trinity Trump, who promised to drain the swamp that is Washington Empire DC, was the swamp, and he sold the Empire to the corporations, who flooded the swamp with sludge for profit. Had the people been smart they would have banned the Republican Party as poison to the government, for like religious parties whose goal is a one party system as God's party, who mandates all elections to be foolish, since who can run against God ? the Republicans mandated against government, and inspired the new - it's a futile age.
