By virtue of the abilities of humankind to be able to create technology, from which becomes possible the capacity of Excess and Profit, as distinct from the abilities of any other species of the planetary ecology, humankind becomes exempt from the natural laws of population control, which regulate the populations of all the many species of the planet.

Population control is absolutely essential. The unchecked expansion of the population of any species leads ultimately to the breakdown of the ecological systems in which that species is a part, and destroys the biodiversity which is essential to the stable existence of the complicated interdependencies which makeup any environment. It is recognized that the population of anything from rats, mosquitoes, deer, bear or beetles is necessary to be controlled with the exception of the human.

The natural regulation of species populations is by means called here as Internal, which is by procreation and length of lifespan, or External as environmental forces such as weather or predators. The natural regulation of species populations as Internal, is by procreation as the number of offspring produced and the length of lifespan, which is regulated internal to the organism, as an inherent and fixed condition based upon the genetics and biology of the species. A more preferable method of regulation might be External wherein procreation would be regulated by conditions of the environment, such that species populations would correspond to available food resources. However this would require a mechanism of clairvoyance in which the procreative biological functions were regulated by future conditions of the environment that could be predicted by every reproductive organism. Or it would require a stable environment not subject to climatic and resource changes. If the most important thing is that the species should continue its survival, then procreation where the future is unknown, would seem best if it were related to the probability of worse case scenarios rather than best.
