Of the forms of Altruistic Authoritarianism, military rule nearly always comes about by conquest or coup, wherein some form of Authoritative Dictate is to be preserved or imposed, and replaces pre-existing governments. Military government is usually temporary, if it is not based upon Economic, Intellectual
or Religious Authorizations. Military rule as Altruistic Authoritarianism may equate
its purposes with restoring and preserving public order, paving the way for an Economic, Intellectual or Religious Authority, or defending the state from internal or external threats.
Monarchy probably in most cases evolves out of military rule which acts as a protectorate, often attempts to force Authoritative Dictates on foreigners, and many times is simply Corrupt. Monarchy is rule by a family or clan, which by military and or economic power becomes dominant. An authorization which is necessary to legitimize and institutionalize monarchy may be economic or religious. If the authority for rule does not come from the constituency of those ruled, and there is no Constitution based upon Intellectual Authority, then if it is to come from somewhere, it must be heaven or earth, which is to say religious or economic. Religious Authorization legitimizes the monarch as the representative and intermediary between the spiritual world and the affairs of people. Economic Authorizations promote a certain degree of wealth and insure the collection of taxes, and the progressive economic well-being of especially those in power, but of the common good as well.
Religious states are Altruistic Authoritarianism based upon Religious Authorizations. The authoritarian state is to enforce Authoritative Dictates which are religious law.
