The top of the hill was my domain and I was a Pagan. I didn't really think they were coming for me, but it was late in the day and I knocked off an hour early, just to be safe and snuck out of there. Something of cowardly embarrassment, but as they say, "discretion is the better part of valor". I think I was on a witchcraft trip and it may have had to do with a scenario I had going since Halloween. I can remember many events but I can't remember the logic. But it would have had something to do with the crowd coming for the wizard; one of the hazards of the trade.

Actually as the memory of this period begins to return and the theme is beginning to emerge, this episode actually started before my back-packing trip. It started with an imaginary girlfriend, and before that it may have started with the movie, "The Vanishing Point", a car chase movie made in 1971. The thing that intrigued me was a psychic connection that was established between a blind disk jockey at some desert radio station and the anti-hero of the movie, who was delivering a car from Denver, Colorado to San Francisco, but at the same time was being chased by the police across four states.

When not working I spent most of my time in my hut, doing analysis and writing concepts. And I would listen to the radio a lot. I used music, and still do today, to keep me in a high state of mind. What I do is make the imponderable mundane, so it is a balancing act between the two states.
