the US media is now what the Russian Pravda state media was fifty years ago. Well that's not exactly true because most American media was always like Russian Pravda state media, the difference capitalist and not communist propaganda just the same.

The logic is nothing new under the sun. Capitalism gives health and welfare consumerism to the greatest number of people. Communism can't compete. And it 's true. Communism is conservative preserving the old and not inundating it with consumer goods. Thus Capitalism is great and the people must be protected from the lies and deceit of the communists by the lies and deceit of the capitalists.

Capitalism as a rule is anti-government. Now without government what one has is the Mafia, the wild six shoot em up west, with only the Sheriff to keep the peace.

Capitalism doesn't like socialism and government is socialist. Capitalists love the military but aren't bright enough to realize the military is an arm government and thus is socialist. Apologists will say no they are just cynical, but I say they are not smart enough to tread water.

In capitalist society, the media is owned by capitalists and thus employ devices to support capitalism and denigrate socialism. It's not like they are dyed in the wool hard core propagandists, but rather they believe capitalism is the best system and hire only those who agree - even though they may be second rate if not dimwit outright.

The primary interest of capitalists is money, and from that all logic follows. What money buys as private property is sacred. Private profiteers should own everything. Private profiteers should not have to pay taxes. Police and fire should be privately owned and if one is too poor to pay for the service they would not provide it. Poof the house is up in smoke. The same with police and how is this not like the Mafia ?

The individual alone cannot afford roads, bridges police, fire - services the government provides funded by a pool of which all contribute. Socialism is akin to insurance. Every individual contributes to the whole and the whole with greater resources, restores the individual in the event of tragedy. This is socialism which can be owned by the public at large or by individuals for private profit.

The private profit media hates communism, never heard of socialism and doesn't know what it is, educated in the Ozarks. They only trumps the greatness of capitalism and the evils of socialism, never heard of labor and it has been such always in the empire America. And today the mass media is engaged in a soft coup against an elected president like it was Brazil.
