Repo got along with my dogs just fine, but was a real problem with other dogs. Gave me problems controlling him no end. The hill was wild in those days simply called open space. This dog was a fighter and never lost. However no dogs ever got hurt. Repo was a kind of Jujitsu artist and could throw the other dog onto its back in like three seconds. Because it was no leash up there, and it was pretty much if mostly male dogs came running up, and if Sophia or I were not quick enough to grab Repo, over they went.
There was a guy up there for a time, who had a dog named Bandit. The guy walked on the road and Bandit always walked over the side in the lower weed patches. One day I asked him why Bandit never walked on the road. He said because Bandit attacks puppies not realizing that they will grow up one day. So he is down there avoiding all the grown up puppies who are now gunning for him. Bandit was a good name for him.
Probably the worst with Repo was when he went after a cat on a Sunday morning on the south-side of the hill, and chased it into a building with an outdoor covered staircase. I chased Repo down the hill through the vacant lot up the stairs of that building, and onto the second floor landing. And there was Repo with a cat glued to its face, his eyes wide with astonishment. Looked like some sort of alien dog cat. He couldn't bite it and I had to separate the two.
