I said, "You tell me what to do. I don't care. I am not of this plane. Doesn't matter to me". She said, "Neither am I". I said, "We are", I almost said soul-mates, "fellow travelers then ?" She said, "Of course". Wow. She gave me kidney cleaners, drink and chewables which were to be taken for a week.
Later he met a Christian woman, said Joe at another time same bench at the north end of the lake. Loveforlorn met her over by the wood bridge. They talked awhile on a sunny mid-day. She was a beautiful woman, personality-smile, walking two dogs, great infectious laugh, and a flower-woven imitation straw-hat. He liked her. She was open. He found he could say anything, except one time he said, God-damned something or other, and she objected and said she never wanted to hear that again. She must insist. Mind control. That was difficult, because it required memory. How was he going to remember that ? He does not swear much so it probably would not be a problem.
There was one-time he followed her all the way around the lake. She wanted him to come to her church, Calvary something. He said, "Saved by the calvary". He could say anything and she didn't take offense except Goddamn. She was sharp and understood most of what he said. He espoused Paganism and spirituality. She of course had him in hell. He called her a fascist. She insisted he had a choice. He insisted it was an offer he couldn't refuse. She didn't get that part. He called himself a democrat. "I don't care what you believe. You are a lovely person. You are love." She loved the wild-life. She had names for her favorite feathered friends. Names worthy of nursery rhymes. She wanted to pray for pagan him. He said, "Can I get on my knees ?"
