They talked for twenty minutes to half an hour, standing in the rain. Nobody out there except one man, gave them the altogether too-knowing romance visage, as he passed by. She could talk. She was bright. She was homeless living in a car, tall, good figure, looking in her fifties, a not out of the ball-park age-range he thought. He liked her, except for the homeless thing. That of course was problematic, and so he took a counter-balanced course of mind. She was it, but she was not. She was local, a lifelong resident, and so how estranged could she be ? Think he said her husband of twenty-five years left her for a younger woman. The old story. She was single and so available, and could live with him, if she had any money at all. So he is hoping to see her again.

So Joe - I visited the herbalist. You remember she did each of our pulses. I visited her on Saturday afternoon. She had more herbs for me. Her new office was all done and looked great. But she was having smoke detector problems. The agitated smoke detector was still at long intermittent noise-squeal indicating a weak battery. I started removing the batteries one by one in each of her treatment rooms. I was on the third one when she disconnected something near the floor in the hall and that did it. The culprit smoke detector audible, is hard to locate when more than one. The sound seems always to be from some-place else. I could tell a smoke-detector story. She did my pulses again. Said mine were the strongest she had ever experienced save one other. I have too much Che, the nova-energy, and thus too much Yang.
