One can support small local markets and family owned business, that takes pride in quality products produced and distributed, to the exclusion of the corporations whose first and sometimes only interest is profits. One can attempt where ever possible to make a living in consideration of one's ethics. One can create a lifestyle independent of the commercial fashion mongers whose purpose is to ever churn out an infinite of more, all in the guise of the latest and more superior
development.
Of course there are no hard and fast rules. One can only do the best they can under given circumstances. One may not be able to afford, or find natural foods. The availability of jobs may determine occupation. One can only do the best they can. One should also not expect others to agree with one's philosophy and thus
be intolerant toward them. People are at a specific level of consciousness,
self-involvement and selfishness, due to their own specific circumstance,
education and environment. The imposition of one's standards upon others
is fascist and all fascists believe that their particular conviction is the only right way. While it may be one's responsibility to follow one's own integrity and to inform others of what one considers an integrity of lifestyle and politics, it does
no good for anyone to be overbearing both in relationship to one's friends and family and to strangers. This is not to say one should not be actively radical
when it is felt to be necessary. It is only to say that a too serious attitude is
burdensome on the self and others.
