These are the local police force, the government, private security companies
hired by various economic interests, and free lance spies, who sell information
to whoever might be interested. Whenever one is a part of a movement one must assume that they are infiltrated. These various agencies of security will engage in sabotage, depending on the degree to which the movement threatens the establishment. One must assume this to be the case, whether or not it is forbidden by law. The establishment only respects the law insofar as
it applies to them. They do not respect law that protects those they consider
to be the epitome of everything that is evil. This of course is to their advantage
as rationale for protecting their interests by whatever means necessary, and
having their own way.
Artistic movements in modern day are usually individual in nature. Rather
than building communal or community organizations that act as schools,
discussion groups, craft and art centers, with the emphasis is on the product
as a process, technique or the cultural milieu, they are more interested in the externals of personal advancement, success, fame or fortune and where product is more important than process. Some thoughts on the possible elements of successful cultural and political movements should perhaps be divided into
two aspects, as outer and inner. A movement should be based upon a core philosophy. However the originators and first practitioners of movements in
general, are independent types, self opinionated, self expressionist, creative
and non-conforming. This is why they break with the prevalent culture to begin something new. However the outer appearance will reflect this independence, as the individual will adopt that characterization that is most suited to the individual personally. This is creative, individualistic, self-acting expression makes for a
very interesting milieu to be a part of. Thus tolerance of differences must be an essential aspect. This character is a means self-expression and the acting out
and looking like the philosophical ideal.
From the individuality that usually accompanies the beginnings of popular movements, the philosophy is usually commandeered by emergent leaders
who are Progressive
Elitists.
