Metaphysical

The Metaphysical-I would be said to be capable of the facility of regulating what can be recalled from the non Conscious-mind aspects of the memory as when, where and why. This accords with giving access to the Conscious-mind, that which is unconscious and pertinent, when the individual is capable of recognizing its significance and using it, which may not have not been the case prior. Access to the unconscious is like going through all the junk, in the seldom visited warehouse. The Metaphysical-I is like a warehouse worker who sends what is needed up on the elevator uncalled for, but which might be just what one is looking for.

However the use of the Unconscious depends for the most part on the structure and organization of the conscious mind. One needs to know where the elevator door is and even that there is an elevator. One needs to have space available to accommodate new shipments coming in off the lift. It is helpful if there is an intercom system between the Conscious mind and the warehouse, although one may never have seen exactly who it is that works over there. It also helps if the intercom is turned on, and the place is peaceful enough for one to hear it. And one must pay attention and be alert for incoming shipments.

The memory is the Negative Dimension and thus all facets are considered as past-time related. The memory is defined as three levels, or subconscious representing most of the bodily awareness and functions, present-time awareness and thinking, and Supra Unconscious, or that which contributes to things like dreams and intuition or clairvoyance. The Subconscious is defined as past-time in that it contains perhaps all stimuli related to the sensory system, from both the external world and the workings of the mind itself. This is anything from a childhood fall, to something one may have thought many years ago.

The Conscious mind as the agent of thinking, evaluation, decision-making, visualization or analysis is present-time consciousness, but where all identification, definition and context as Association, is retrieved from and compared to past memory. The Supra Unconscious is said to be concerned with the future, but again by using the associative imagery of past memory.

Where the Metaphysical-I is to be used, it should be allowed access by the conscious mind through any of the three levels. The memory that is quick, and skillful may tend to be automatic, where with every association as instantly called up, there is no scratching around for substitutes that may enlarge one's perspective, concerning any given subject by unexpected correlations. Thus it could be said that the better the memory the less the access to alternative memory musings, or the Metaphysical-I without pre-set periods of meditation. The advantage of delayed memory connectivity is that the Metaphysical-I would choose the proper meditative time slots as they occur in active reality. Whereas pre-set meditative sessions would be disconnected from the spontaneous moment of active involvement. Instant and automatic memory may tend to suppress access to the Unconscious and Supra Consciousness.
