GREEN PARTY |

WORLD GREEN PARTY |
|
For those in the US who still believe in democratic politics, and are concerned about and greatly interested in the environment, and who would seek an alternative to the two party duopoly, the Green Party would seem one's only
option. But of course the Green Party is locked out of the political arena by
the Capitalist media in general and
the Capitalist broadcast media in particular, and the 'Winner Take All' system of political representation,
locking out candidates and parties that simply lose elections no matter
how small the margin. Thus 'third parties' are out of sight of the general
consciousness of the people as a whole. Who has ever seen or heard
a Green Party perspective or a Green Party candidate, other than Ralph
Nader, ever on the US capitalist media.
American politics is dominated by the Republican and the Democratic Parties.
The Republican Party consists mostly in the owners of property, business, corporations and management, the rich, the Right Wing, elitists, Pseudo-conservative religious organizations,
capitalists and such other wanabe folks who believe that the Republican Party
is genuinely interested in them and not just catering to their vote. Most
Capitalist broadcast media serves the interests of the Republican Party, but generally appears to be fair to both sides except when it really counts. The Democratic Party represents everyone else,
that is for instance, labor, minorities, the poor, the underprivileged, the non-propertied, renters, and people who are pro-abortion, feminists, or those having differing sexual propensities other than heterosexual. The Democratic Party is
the de facto Socialist party, and the party of government in a country where
there word socialism is almost never heard, and if it is, it is generally used with nasty connotations. Thus to be member of the Green Party is to belong to a party that is shut out of the mainstream US cultural politic.
