The degree to which content is discussed at all, is relative to the degree to which this content is perceived as a threat to the establishment. The constituency for such criticism of the power structure, which may be a political association or party, is never mentioned, or if it is, these adherents are portrayed as dupes of the powerful and duplicitous leader. Examples of this in present day are most often found when anti-technological, deep ecological or anti-progressive, anti-private property or nationalist perspectives arise. Villainous individuals of a nationally domestic variety may also serve a secondary purpose, which is to act as scapegoats for problems which are an inherent to the existing political, economic or cultural structure, or the faults of a corrupt leadership.

However if the content of particular organizations are repugnant to existing power structures, and the reputations of a leader or leadership are unassailable, that leadership may be portrayed as glorified. All attention may be focused upon the glorified personality with little or no discussion Of the content of the organization and adherents the leadership represents.
