The volitional selection
of association called interpretation, is the will of the individual, as the facility to select images and feelings from the memory as affinative to present experience and or thinking. Street - select street car, street sweeper, Oak Street, road, highway to nowhere, street of broken dreams.
The primary or first selector of association is called the Ego, which begins the process of selection at the earliest of ages and is the primary and fundamental selector until the Identities begin to be formed, that can actually accomplish objectives, around the age of puberty.
Identities are objectives personified or the doer and accomplisher of ends and aspirations. Since each objective is individual and requires distinct means and methods of performance, the selection of association is distinct and individual and becomes personified, such as butcher, baker, candlestick maker, or associative selection which corresponds to producing products and ends.
The primary objective and responsibility of the Ego is the body, as safety, health, good feeling, food, shelter or security. The Ego is defined as associative selection primarily pertaining to the body.
The premise of this particular piece is that the Ego is by disposition female while the Identities are by constitution male. The Ego is internal, defensive, protective, limited, cautions, conservative or socialist. The Identities are external, expansive, progressive, outgoing, productive and capitalistic.
The Ego and Identities are the two main functions of psychological being, each as selectors of association as will and intention, and may be in correspondence with each other or in conflict. The Identity of a health-nut may correspond to the Ego whereas the Identity of circus trapeze artist may not.
Matriarchal societies would therefore emphasize the Ego and would follow along the lines of primitive, indigenous culture absent technology. Other than a limited number of Identities such as fire starter, hunter, berry gatherer, straight arrow or path finder. Identities would take the form of Ipseities or spirits.
Patriarchal societies would be of the emphasis of Identities. These would consist of greater degrees of technological development requiring a multiplicity of skill levels each with the capacity of becoming an Identity, such that hundreds of Identities are possible. Patriarchal culture will tend to be in conflict with the Ego.
By correspondence, if the Soul requires an Ego and Identities, the Soul would be defined as female, while Identities acting on behalf the Soul as Spirits that produce objectives, would be called male.
