And of course the greatest boon to information of all is the internet. The
Minimalist lifestyle may preclude the ability to hire repair people and one may need to become adept at self-repair and of possessing products that are repairable without having to replace them.
Cooperation may also be useful in collective purchase, such as buying food
in bulk, child care, building, renovation and repair, in some cases defense or
even optimistically transportation. In cases where money is pooled together
and where groups are a threat to others, infiltration and sabotage are a
possibility. Cooperation is also helpful in the use of barter and the exchange
of services. The greatest strength comes in numbers but there is also the necessity to have to get along with others, cooperate and compromise.
The successful cooperation with others demands standards that all of those involved can accept, and a conformance to these standards by every party to
the agreement. For a cohesive group, those involved must strictly adhere to the
rules and laws. People should adopt attributes such as things like honesty, truthfulness, straightforwardness, communicativeness, comprimise, tolerance, sharing, cheerfulness, friendliness, to be self-reliant and unneedy, balance, respect for self and others, and respect for privacy, honor, fairness, the absence of cliques, leadership as relavant to situation as opposed a permanent position. If people are going to get along there needs to be open exchange, immediate or approriate airing of differences, so as hostilities and frictions are not suppressed, complete understandings, acceptance of differences, honesty in mistakes, an equality of attitudes of self-worth, an acceptance and pride of oneself.
The attitude of the Minimalist in dealings with the ordinary person, not sharing
the Minimalist lifestyle is accepting of the difference. Not everyone has the luxury of, Consciousness, or desire of
the lifestyle. One does not consider oneself above or below others. One is not resentful of legitimate differences. One may always attempt to inspire others with alternative thinking, but in a casual sort of way as differences occurr, more or less naturally, and not overly obtrusive.
