The reading of freshly killed animal entrails, or the interpretation of dreams, thought to be visitations from persons just having died are examples. These methods involving involuntary sacrifice are defined as black magic, which is the type employed by people with progressive propensities seeking personal or localized advantage as some kind of materialistic gain. Although voluntary sacrifice for the good of the community as a whole is not unheard of. The interpretation here is that spiritual agencies influence the means of divination. As an aside concerning black magic, the facility of Semiotic Language and associated powers are accessible to anyone. How it is used is the responsibility of the individual and not the phenomenon itself. However those who use it for unseemly ends are limited to small affects for small objectives.

     
A distinction can be made between actual communication as circumstance and events, and inspiration such as ideas and feelings that may come to one, like the inspiration for poetry, music or an invention. An ancient term for the agency of this type of communication is the Muse, which can be subject to location and sometimes time. The ability and efficiency of this type of spiritual communication can be said to be relative to particular and specific geographical locations, in terms of strong and weak presence and in terms of the distinction between varying Muses, as the kind of inspiration received. Strong inspiration can derive from what are termed power spots which can exist anywhere, some of which are commonly known, most of which are not, but which may be detected by the experiment and sensitivity of the individual to such objectives.
