Why twelve Olympians, said maybe to reflect the number of months? Actually twelve is the number of signs in the zodiac, an astrological theory with a history of thousands of years, called pseudo-science by pseudo-science, which was quite popular before the advent of said science. The theory here is that the at the time of birth, the specific planetary alignments of the sun, moon and planets, with the twelve constellations and corresponding twelve zodiac signs, determines the character of the individual, by gravitational or other type of influential waves, as the tides of the seas are determined and effected by the gravitation of the moon, or the centers of galaxies by gravitation, hold the entire galactic system in place.
The zodiac signs are of four types, as fire, water, earth and air. The primary character attributes are the sun sign as core personality, sense of self, preferences, romantic compatibility, the moon sign as emotion, feelings, intuition and memories. And the rising sign or Ascendant, as outward personality, or the character of one's relationship with others, or how one appears to others, is determined by the zodiac sign that was on the Eastern horizon at the time of birth, such as she is Gemini rising, ruled by Mercury as the planet of communication. Personally, pseudo-science aside, this author's astrology chart characterization fits to a tee, as exacting over a period of a lifetime.
The concept here, is that if the Soul or other-dimensional MetaBeing,
will call other-dimensional home, is to use incarnation or reincarnation to achieve certain specific goals, which are to be carried out by an incarnation, which has no memory of such objectives and does not have a clue, the major problem would be the making of wrong choices, which would never lead to one's true calling, like getting married to the wrong woman or man, in the wrong place, and at the wrong time, or a job, or an offer of this or that, or settling for success, which would freeze one in a particular calling. However, if one could choose a basic character type, as an astrological imprint, one would wish to incarnate or reincarnate into the material world, then the chances of succeeding would be that much greater.
