Social interactions would tend to work as a unit, each fulfilling capacities as capable, and making up for the lack of others rather than competition. Horizontal thinkers may possess an attitude of social equality, where differences result from varying experience and background, and they might possess the capability of relating to anybody, based on commonalities of present circumstance and universal experience as the Ego.
Vertical Thinking:
Vertical Thinking would be said to characterize the Progressive Identity, wherein the psychology of personal worth is the estimation and assessment of value by Numerical Evaluation from zero to ten, or up and down, better/worse, inferior/superior. Vertical Thinking is the conceptual classification of any given quality, condition or entity as stratification, which indicates definition and instruction that defines how things should or can be treated. Progressive Psychology involves primarily status distinctions based on Consequence which is conditioned upon progressive/retrogressive ranking.
Progressive Psychology:
The psychology of the Progressive Paradigm is based on the Primary Identity as External Authority and Vertical Thinking, which is idealized, conceptual exaltation of perfect human character, to which the body and mind are expected to aspire and conform, like skinny models or perfected religious icons. The External Authority as paramount personality is always some degree superior to the natural body-ego, which represents additive base from which to assess degrees of advanced development. The basic psychological factor is that the individual is always beholden to superior authority to which one must always strive to achieve and maintain, as the worker who must always follow the orders of superiors. The selling of Identities is a primary driver of capitalism, inducing the individual to purchase ever more enhancements.
