As the boat was lifted on a platform water ran down the sides of the dark elevator shaft and dripped from overhead. Then the boat was pushed automatically and tilted over an edge and went sailing down a long wooden wet ramp, that was also a spill way, until with great speed it splashed into a small lake. If you sat in the front you got very wet as a wave washed over the front. Another ride we may have taken, to complicated to describe, was a combination of Ferris Wheel and Carousel, meaning that it went around both horizontally and vertically at the same time.
Maybe we played some games like coin toss, bottle throw, ring toss or rifle shoot; then had something to eat around noon. And it may have been a mistake to save the wild rides for after lunch. We ate probably hot dogs or someone may have had the chilidog. We might have had potato chips or french fries, coke, orange or seven-up. Someone may have had popcorn or even the very sticky cotton candy.
The first ride after lunch might have been the Flying Cars. This was my favorite roller coaster ride. It was different than a normal coaster, because instead of simply going up and down and around curves, it was primarily designed for, after gaining speed on the descents, to roll back and forth, or turn over sideways to about two o'clock on the half circle, and then back the other way to about ten o'clock, full speed, roll-over left, roll-over right - zoom !
