The Memory Self is considered as a third entity with the capacity to make comparisons between the Positive and Negative Dimension or memory, as a replica of the Physical Plane. This third element, controller or Will would be a director that would be capable of altering the replica, substituting elements of the physical plane with an altered version in the replica, or substituting various replicas with other replicas. A tree, as a replica in the memory, could be up, down, sideways, upside down or a boulder could be put in its place.

This third element or Memory Self would have to have access to an apparatus, that would register or be aware of the physical Positive Dimension as a sensory system. Of course it could be said that without the Positive Dimension, no replica would exist to begin with. The Memory Self could make comparisons between the mechanical, physical world and the non-mechanical, non-physical replica, as alternatives that would be suitable to introduce into the physical world. This Memory Self would then need the ability to make changes in the Physical Plane based on a correspondence to the alterations made in the replica. This could be accomplished with a mechanism, machine or body that could operate in the physical world.

The memory controller more or less to begin, adopts a singular identity based on the physical capacities that it is capable. In very early development the memory would notice correlations between involuntary movements and changes to the exterior environment. It would notice for instance, involuntary movements of the limbs and soon learn, by pain as an example, to stop impulse movements that led to pain. By breast-feeding the baby would learn to control the movement of the head for the best feeding position. Gradually the identity of the Memory Self becomes established, able to control action in the physical world. The Memory Self says, 'I can move that chair'. Based on past experience, it visualizes where it is to be moved, and carries out the action.

The Memory Self is capable of adopting at least one memory identity. For instance it is imperative that the individual remember one's name. Just from the context of one's own name, any number of decisions will be made throughout one's life. For instance the individual may be required to uphold the values of the family name.
