Another life ? of what sense if one cannot remember life-past ? How can there be accumulative affect either degradive or progressive ? This now-life is absent any memory of assumed past lives. The major conclusion from this fact, would be what results from this revolting condition. Choice based solely on this-life criterion alone, as free-will, absent past-karma. If however the past were to be carried to the present, as the now-life chosen of a between-life state, such that one's current life would be of a placement in physical time and matter, so as to reflect past lives in new and present circumstance like geography, class status, family position, wealth or education, might satisfy the problem of lack of memory.

Successive lives is called Reincarnation in the east. And so one's born-bad placement in present life circumstance is said to be the result of bad action in past-life. Which is unfair since there is no real evidence of bad action or even of past-life. But it is a way to justify inequality, lack of compassion and exploitation. In the west one is restricted to a single life after which comes heaven or hell, which seems the monopoly of Monotheistic religion. Perhaps Polytheism would accord to reincarnation and Monotheism to one single mono-life.

Monotheism

Monotheism as one and only one god is called Religion whereas Polytheism is called Spirituality. Monotheism defines the one and only one deity as perfect and the only perfection in the universe, in contrast to the obscene imperfection of the natural world. If the individual fails in all except imperfection, then there in no reincarnated second chances in Monotheism. Since reincarnation is not found but obliquely in Monotheism - one god is one carnal life and judgement day, fifty-fifty, up or down. But really there is not that much to do so if one is lazy.
