Authority is also derived from force, as from an alley-way stick-up to a fascist general overthrowing a government. The rationalization is generally a superior/inferior dichotomy, as the rich stealing from the poor or the poor stealing from the rich. Authority Reasoning would be the province of the Identities, where objectives and the personifications of objectives are authorities for human activity and behavior. The necessity to make money is a controlling authority in one's life. Identities as personifications can be created in a manner which corresponds to authoritative effigies. Thus objectives as Identities or personifications to a great extent act as authoritative control.
The Psychology of the Conservative Paradigm would have the Ego as a single personality and personification. Pre-excess & Profit and before industrialization and technology there are few Identities, as hunter,
fire maker, healer, tent wife, clothing maker. The Identities take the form of other-dimensional spirits as Polytheism. At the same time industrial psychology with multitudinous Identities such as surveyor, highway engineer, caterer, disk jockey, dentist or lawyer tend to be Monotheists.
With one Ego and single-self, the individual perhaps would need some escape, some freedom, lightness of being, otherness, of which identification and personification with polytheistic spirit would benefit the psychology of the individual or adopt an Identity. On the other hand the multitudinous Identities of Progressive Materialism evolved out of Monotheistic cultures primarily Christianity, an offshoot of Judaism. A theory might be suggested that Monotheism does not recognize the Ego, or denigrates and associates it with aversion, therefore the Identities must be created out of whole cloth. However the psychology of modern times frowns upon more than one Identity, not recognizing that most people have about six, defined as varying contexts in which to interpret reality, based upon objectives as driving to work or running for health,
